The New Jersey Chapter of Women for WineSense was formed in October 2005 in Hoboken, NJ. We are committed to bringing informative, educational and fun wine events to everyone who wants to learn more about wine and enjoy it too!
Women and men are welcome to join from all areas of New Jersey. We host monthly events around the Garden State that appeal to people's varying interests in all aspects of wine, including the wine business.
We offer several levels of membership from students to professionals. Click HERE for more information on membership. Members always pay the lower fee for all events in NJ and across the country! Members are also eligible for certain discounts such as discounts on events sponsored by Joe Canal's Discount Liquor Outlet.
We have had many fun and successful events that include a tour of a wine making facility, various themed wine tastings, and wine and food pairing dinners with various cuisines. Our dedicated officer team constantly comes up with new and enjoyable ways to experience wine and meet people.

Our last event was Israeli Wines - Wines from an Ancient Land held on May 22, 2010. We had a full house of people tasting Israeli Wines. We tasted 6 wines produced in Israel. Avi Ashman, the founder of the Israeli Wine Lovers Meet-up Group in NYC, led us in the tasting. Avi is a very knowledgeable speaker and we learned that not all Israeli wines are kosher. The wonderful wines were complimented by an Israeli/Mid-eastern themed menu that included falafel, hummus, pita, Israeli salad, tahini, olives and of course, baklava.
