About Our Chapter:
The Rochester Chapter was formed in 1999.
We welcome women and men, from beginning wine tasters to professionals working in the trade to join us the second Tuesday of every month for our meetings. We meet at various locations in the Rochester, NY area including country clubs, hotels, restaurants, and local wineries.
We are one of the most active chapters within the Women for WineSense (WWS) organization. In addition to our monthly meetings, we hold several "special events" throughout the year.
Presenters at our meetings have included winery owners, winemakers, wine educators, regional sales representatives, local store personnel, and our enthusiastic chapter members.
We have enjoyed wines from areas as diverse as Austria, Argentina, Australia, France, Finger Lakes, Chile, Italy, South Africa and Alaska (not the latter, but you never know with us). We focus our meetings on wine and food pairing sessions.
Our chapter has 107 active members and is growing! 95% of our members are female and 5% male.
