2010 Event Calendar  

Our chapter events are held on Thursday evenings, and each event will raise money for the Napa/Sonoma Women for WineSense general scholarship fund:

 August 5: Wine on America's Table: Environmentally Friendly Wines with Guru of Sustainability Ann Thrupp, Ph.D.

WWS Sommelier Barbara Paige has put together delectable, delicious pairings of wine and food. Dinner will be held at Saddles at MacArthur Place in Sonoma. Reception 5:30-6:30pm; Dinner 6:30-8:30. Raffle and auction held to raise money for WWS general scholarship fund. Click here to register.

Attorney Susan Cagann kicks off the compliance seminar, attended by Napa and Sonoma winery professionals.

Jacuzzi Operations Manager Peggy Phelan and Winemaker Charlie Tsegeletos describe solar power and organic growing processes.

 

August 13 - Wine at Americas Table, "Bottle Shock," Sonoma

A sumptuous dinner at the Swiss Hotel proceeded the walk to the Sebastiani Theater for the WWS premiere of "Bottle Shock," filmed in Sonoma and Napa.     A number of extras were on hand to share stories!	Producer Brenda Lhormer shares her Bottle Shock tales.

 

November 5 - Ghost Wineries, Hall Wines, Napa
 

Pictures ... lost in a computer crash!  We had a great time at Hall and our slide presentation on Ghost Wineries in the St. Helena area.

December 10 - Wine Blending Holiday Event, St. Supery, Napa  

 

St. Supery hosts made the WWS blenders feel right at home, pictured here dining on Chef Richard Taylor's sumptuous treats!

Prospective winemakers taste the main ingredients in creating their Meritage blend, including Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petite Verdot and St. Supery's prized Meritage, Elu.

Our attendees show their creativity - inside the bottle and with unique label designs!
