An evening Down Under – Exploring the Wines of Australia

When we think of Australia, we often think of Shiraz (Syrah), the leading red grape. It’s a fantastic wine, but there are many more grape varietals grown in the four main wine regions - South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.

The main white grapes include Chardonnay, Muscadelle, Riesling, and Sémillon.

The red grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot, Mouvèdre, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Some of these grapes are grown for blending, while others are made into single varietal wines.

Harvest is between February and April, depending on the grape, and is opposite of the Northern hemisphere.

Bring a friend at the member rate and join us as we explore the wines of Australia.

Date: Tuesday, September 19, 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Please note this is the 3rd Tuesday, and we are starting a little later to avoid traffic.
