Join us in welcoming the return of our dynamic speaker, Cheryl Dianetti, who will teach us how to evaluate and enjoy wine with all of our senses. What happens when you take one sense away? You likely take away your ability to prejudge those wines.
We will be blind tasting wines at our WWS October’s event. We will learn:
1). The basic steps of tasting.
2). How to evaluate the wines.
3). How to make an educated guess as to their varietal make up.
What does Blind Tasting mean?
Blind tasting is a method of tasting wine which avoids having or creating any preconceived perceptions of a wine based on a known varietal or the label of the wine. A wine's label, style and varietal are hidden from the taster to avoid any bias or opinion. When a blind tasting is done for many wines, it allows fairness in the evaluation of each wine.
