Linked Vineyards - Past and Present
Join us on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 at 5 pm PST / 8 pm EST for an intimate conversation with Jessica Link from Linked Vineyards.
Jessica Link is a Sonoma County girl, born and raised, a past member of the Napa-Sonoma chapter and has served on both the Women For WineSense National Board and Napa-Sonoma Chapter Board. Jessica continues to be a good friend of Women For WineSense. She started her career path in the wine industry when her father purchased a Knights Valley property in 1999 and declared “We are going to plant a Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard.” She transferred her degree path from Business to Wine Business and was one of the first three students to graduate from the Sonoma State University program. Coming up through the ranks at Beringer Vineyards, Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards, Robert Young Estate Winery and now at Davis Estates, Jessica has spent seventeen years developing broad-based experience in management, finance, sales, hospitality and customer service. Her out-going nature and complete lack of inhibition to ask “what, why or how?” have exposed her to people and elements of the business well beyond the roles she holds.
Jessica joined Davis Estates at the grand opening of their winery in May of 2016 and helped move a brand from infancy to excellence. She started as the fifth hire within the company and has built a team that is 22 strong. They have grown the wine club from 200 to 1,900 members in just over 2 years. Based on current projections, the company will be cash flow positive 4 years after opening, a feat that is unheard of in the industry. This performance takes strategic planning, excellent wine and incredible hospitality, with a team that is provided the opportunity to succeed through processes, education, training and fun toys!
To fully complete her immersion into the world of wine, Jessica and her husband, Drew, are also the proud owners of their own (very small) wine brand, Linked Vineyards, built upon fruit from the family vineyard. Selling their extremely boutique wine on weekends and vacations allows her to stay intimately connected to the people who truly enjoy wine, and the accompanying experiences and stories.
