THC: Journey into Wine - a panel discussion
This is sure to be a memorable night with a combination of networking, wine tasting, and learning from some of the best women in the Texas wine industry. Our discussion will let you get to know these dynamic women while also learning a bit about how you can get involved in the wine industry yourself. And if you're already working in wine, you can always learn more!
Bénédicte Rhyne is a seasoned winemaker, offers laboratory analysis services to wineries, and now has her own wine label, Rhyne Wines.
Jackie Mancuso has studied plant and soil sciences and now helps multiple vineyards around the hill country with planting their vines, maintaining healthy plants, and managing a vineyard crew through Atlas Vineyard Management.
Kelsey Kramer is a wine educator running the programs through the newly developed Hill Country Wine Academy where wine enthusiasts and industry professionals can gain more wine knowledge.
Brandi Pratt is a Sommelier who is now the General Manager at Alla Campagna. She has worked in several capacities from a Texas winery to a national distribution company to a local restaurant and we'll gain insight into all of these aspects of the industry.
Julie Herbort is the COO for Heath Family Brands. She started in accounting and now works every day to ensure all of the wineries are compliant on every level. As if that doesn’t keep her busy enough, she is active in the community, serving as the President Elect of the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association and was named the Fredericksburg Chamber’s Woman of the Year for 2024.
Advance reservation is required. A portion of your reservation fee goes towards our new wine education scholarship program. 5-7:30 with the first hour spent on networking and wine tasting. Members, non-members, women, men, industry professionals and casual wine lovers, everyone is invited. Seating is limited to 50, so RSVP asap. We’ll also have a wine pull so be sure to buy your $20 wine pull tickets separately or bring cash.
