T is so much more than Table Wine

We are pleased to present the third installment of the ever popular, “Grapes Starting with the Letter ??”!! This year, the focus will be on grapes starting with the letter “T”.  This will be a fun, interactive evening that will probably introduce you to some new varietals.  To get ready, can you name three “T” grapes?  Perhaps they will be featured in the program!

Your host for the evening is our very own Past President, Karen Desmond, with assistance from Secretary Sue Mullen.  We are excited to experience a new venue this month, Comedy @ The Carlson!  Staying with the “T” theme, Karen and Sue have worked with the chef to create a Tapas style menu that should pair well with the wines.

Our February event will also offer an opportunity to give back to our community.  Elaine Spaull, Executive Director for the Center for Youth, will join us to discuss how the Crisis Nursery is servicing the Rochester area.  The Crisis Nursery is dedicated to providing safe, professional and temporary care to children during family crises. Types of crises can range from simple to catastrophic such as medical emergencies, unexpected illness, accidents, unemployment, mental health episodes, unexpected death, domestic violence, homelessness, legal issues and unstable/unsafe housing. The Crisis Nursery is not a permanent solution -- it's a way to bridge a gap. The Crisis Nursery provides a safe, stable environment for children while giving parents or caregivers time to address a crisis and prepare long-term solutions.
