“Wines from your backyard! Living around Rochester, we are so close to some amazing vineyards that grow fantastic cold climate varietals. We live in a region with award winning wineries that ferment these grapes into unique, terroir-driven deliciousness. But did you know you not only live in one of the few regions in which Ice Wine can be produced but also one of the best places to grow apples?
Wendy “the wine wench” Wilson (as dubbed by Lorraine Hems) is a member of the third generation of the Oakes family that grows fruit on the southern shore of Lake Ontario half-way between Rochester and Niagara Falls. Parlaying 100 years of fruit growing street-cred, LynOaken Farms ventured into the wine business after planting their initial vineyard in 2003. Its sister company, Leonard Oakes Estate Winery, part of the Niagara Wine Trail, has since been vinifying LynOaken’s fruit and will soon be 11 years old. Wendy is delighted to pour some of her favorite adult beverages for you that showcase the dynamic and innovative spirit of her family’s business.

Payment is required in advance by credit card or check. In order to keep costs low for all members, we are unable to offer refunds after event registration closes. If you find yourself unable to attend after registration closes, we encourage members to find someone to take their place. When an event reaches capacity, we do keep a waiting list. Let Lynne Perry know if you are unable to attend an event. In the case that there is a waiting list, we will contact the next person on the list and refund your registration fee if we fill your spot.
