The French wine appellation system seems needlessly complicated to Americans, most of whom are accustomed to seeing the name of the grape dominating the label rather than the region of origin.
Join us this month as we explore multiple regions in France, their go-to grapes, and how to de-mystify their wines. Find out how easy it is to identify the varietals in a Burgundy, delve into the Bordeaux region, analyze what makes Champagne the “king” of sparkling, and explore the Southwest region of France. Just a few topics we will cover during the evening.
Learn a little history of each region, the impacts they have on the wine world, and how to equate that to what you already know. You will then be able to say “J'aime les vins français!” (I love French wines!)
