Jody Elsom of Elsom Cellars

How did Woodinville native Jody Elsom end up founding Elsom Cellars in 2006? A move to San Francisco for a job in the construction industry allowed her to visit Sonoma and Napa wineries, also helping with harvest and bottling. After coming home and thinking about what she wanted to do next, Jody remembered sitting in the sun overlooking a California vineyard, "I'd always sit there with my glass of wine trying to figure out 'Well, what do I want to do?' and that whole vision of just that tranquility, peace, living off the land and making something, that's what I want, and to create that experience for people," She began her training at WSU, and after graduation began making wine at home, forming a cooperative with friends to share equipment. At Elsom Cellars, her focus is on full-bodied Washington reds. Her personal favorite, Malbec, is featured both as a single varietal wine and in some of her Rhone and Bordeaux-inspired blends. Jody will pair a selection of her wines with our dinner.

The price for members is $64.00, and $74.00 for nonmembers.
Please note the system charges a $3.00 processing fee for WWS nonmembers to pay by credit card. To RSVP & pay by check, email email@example.com to confirm, then mail your check (made out to Seattle Women For WineSense) to Nicole Stellner, 4709 S Ferdinand Street, Seattle, Washington 98118. Your check must be received 3 days after your RSVP is made. After that time your space will be released. Please contact us with questions about the event, the website or method of payment at 425.882.1621. This event is nonrefundable after March 6th. All refunds will be made by check less a $5 cancellation fee.
