The Spanish say it only takes a mouthful of good food, a glass of fine wine and lively conversation to keep a crowd going. That’s the principle behind Spanish tapas – the “little” foods that are served in small bars around Spain.
Spain has more land planted to vineyards than any other country in the world. Yet it is only third in wine production “quantity-wise”, behind Italy and France. That is because they plant their vines further apart, and they keep the yields very low. That makes for some pretty rich and concentrated juice. In other words, sometimes less is better. Especially in the wine world…
The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain! And that is good too. Because the best vineyards lie in the higher altitudes of the more mountainous regions, where it is drier and the climate is more moderate.
Join us for a very special event as we will travel to some of Spain’s most famous wine regions for a taste of the countries’ specialties.
Hope to see you there. Buen apetito!
