We will continue our exploration of Italian wines with Donna Schlosser-Long, Rochester’s Regional Manager for Frederick Wildman & Sons and former board member of WWS. This segment of the tour takes us to the Valtellina Valley located in the historical Northern Italian Region of Lombardy. We will sample exceptional wines from the Nino Negri winery, the oldest winery in the Valtellina Valley, paired with foods prepared specifically to enhance our experience.
Johanna Lester, Director of Events & Communications, from Gilda's Club Rochester will join us at this event to share information about this charity. Gilda's Club Rochester is a not for profit organization that creates a welcoming community of free support for everyone living with cancer – men, women, teens and children – along with their families and friends. Their innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, education and social activities.
Gilda’s Club Rochester opened its red doors in September 2000 to support more than 17,200 annual visits and offers over 1,200 free programs each year to the men, women, teens and kids impacted by cancer. They are funded through the generosity of private individuals, corporations, foundations, and grants.
