Bordeaux is one of the most worshiped wine regions in France! It is located in the southwestern part of the country along the Atlantic coast. The name Bordeaux actually means “at the edge of the water” (derived from the French phrase “au bord de l’eau”). The wines here can be quite varied, due to the soil or “terroir” conditions. Best known for its rich red blends, Bordeaux is also a land of stunning whites, rosés and dessert wines. We’ll visit the wines of the “Left Bank” and the “Right Bank” and learn what makes the two so unique. These wines are great for fall weather, and pair wonderfully with autumn flavors.
Please join us for our "Taste of Bordeaux" evening. We are thrilled to welcome back Holly Howell as our tour guide ~ hope to see you there!
