We are very excited to have the rare opportunity to taste :Nota Bene's critically acclaimed, limited production wines, and in the winery, no less! The winery is not often open to the public, so we certainly appreciate being invited to sample and dine surrounded by barrels of Tim's wines. He sources his grapes from some of the best vineyards in Washington State, and we will focus our evening on a selection of his single vineyards wines.

A bit of history: After graduating from U of W with a degree in Zoology, Tim Narby spent more than 30 years as a Boeing systems analyst. A bottle of 1982 Chateaux Margaux Tim and his new bride Carol shared at Ashland's Shakespeare Festival inspired Tim to make great wine. The couple had received a home winemaking kit as a wedding gift, and using the blackberry syrup that came with it, they created a drinkable wine! In 1986 they purchased some Zinfandel grapes and celebrated their first press. A member of the Boeing Winemaker Club, Tim received multiple first place awards in the club's Winefests, and in 2001 Carol, a prosecuting attorney, knew it was time to take the leap and open their winery. She used her professional skills to speed through the paperwork, and in a mere 3 months (a possible record), it was official. We look forward to seeing you at this unique SoDo Urban Winery!!
