Wines from Mexico
"I’d like a wine from Mexico" is not something we ever hear, yet Mexico has been producing wine since the 16th century when the Spanish brought vines to the country. There are three major wine producing areas, with Baja California – an hour south of San Diego - producing the majority of the wine and using a wide variety of grapes such as Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache, Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, among many others. Join as we discover this up and coming wine region.
