What is this?
Learn the how & whys to blind tastings at our January event!
How do you distinguish one wine from another when you don't have any information oth
er than what you can glean from your eyes, nose, and tongue?
Marie Guido-Miner, WWS FLX member and
recipient of our WWS FLX 2017 Scholarship, will be our presenter for the event.
Marie is currently finishing her Masters in Food Science at Cornell University with a concentration in Enology. Her research focuses on identifying indigenous yeast through studying spontaneous Riesling fermentations.
She will walk
us
through
the basics of evaluating wines blind.
We'll also explore why one would ever consider tasting wines blind in the first place.
This event will take place at
84 Fall Street
in Seneca Falls
on
Monday, 1/15/18
, from
6:30-8:30pm.
84 Fall Street
will be serving an array of tapas style foods throughout the tasting event.
The Gould Hotel,
just
1 block
away from our event location,
is offering room rates starting at
$89
for the night of our Blind Tasting event.
