Rochester
The Rochester Chapter of Women for WineSense (WWS) was formed in 1999. We welcome women and men, from beginning wine tasters to professionals working in the wine industry to join us the second Tuesday of every month for our meetings. We meet at various locations in the Rochester, NY area including country clubs, hotels, restaurants, local wineries, and wine bars.

Welcome to the Rochester Chapter

The Rochester chapter was formed in 1999. We are one of the most active chapters within the WWS organization. In addition to our monthly meetings, we hold several “special events" throughout the year for our members.

Presenters at our meetings have included winery owners, winemakers, wine educators, regional sales representatives, local liquor store personnel, and our enthusiastic chapter members.

We have enjoyed wines from areas as diverse as Austria, Argentina, Australia, France, Finger Lakes, Chile, Italy, South Africa and Alaska (not the latter yet, but you never know with us). We focus our monthly meetings on wine and food pairing sessions.

Our chapter has over 115 active members and is growing! 94% of our members are female and 6% male. For further information about our chapter or to be placed on our email list, please contact us at wwsrochesterinfo@gmail.com.

Events

Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month. Meetings start at 7 PM, lasting approximately two hours and are held at various locations throughout the Rochester, NY area including country clubs, hotels, restaurants, local wineries and wine bars.

In addition to our monthly events we hold a few "Members Only" education/special events throughout the year.
